While testing my NP-50 battery charger (PRO SERIES Equivalent FUJI NP-50 Battery Charger), I tried the 12 Volt (car) adapter, and it worked, till I wiggled the cord, near the changer. It blew the fuse. So I got out my DMM (Ohm meter) and found, it was shorted intermittently, at the connector to the charger...
The charger seems to work good off 120AC (house power), otherwise. The LED appears to have three states:
Red - charging.
Yellow - almost done (red and green on).
Green - done.
Actually, the color varies as it charges, from red to yellow, and eventually green - real cool!!!
Things I don't like (Besides, the failure of the car adapter), are extremely minor issues, and are somewhat like the OEM charger):
1) No yellow stripe to match up with battery. You have to look for the battery terminals, and align them to the chargers terminals, or the battery wont charge.
Since it fits two different types of batteries, there are two positions. So, my battery sits uneven, in the charger.
I was too chicken to plug their USB cable, into any thing after, my other failure...
It would be nice if:
The USB Jack allowed the battery to charge off of the computer-USB power, as the chargers power supply...
