It is simply amazing, built from the best plastic materials. It feels AND looks very good plastic quality.
The base of the product (where is goes inside the cup holder) is actually a little bit smaller than a regular cup holder size. Don't worry, they have included a nice option: the base has 4 wide rubber legs (heavy use rubber, not cheap rubber) that expands to the outside to fit into any cup holder size! and they are made of rubber so that if your cup holder is not even, or if one size is higher than the other like my car's, you can keep expanding them till all 4 rubber legs are securly tight, because its made of rubber, they will bend and shape to your cup holder shape insuring a secure fit. The rubber legs are wide and runs the length of the base too. They are big.
The "trunk" that connects between the base and the mobile station holder, is very very hard to move and shape. This is actually very good, because you would expect your mobile to stay in its place mid-air regardless of how rough is the terrain you are driving over. This also helps keeping the trunk in place if you are using the phone to dial. i got my friend yesterday playing a game on the phone while it was in the holder! it is very strong and won't move by its self. The only problem is that it's very hard to shape to your preference, but once it is done, you don't need to move it again.
The mobile holder is very good too, it is padded from every possible place that will come in contact with the phone. I am a freak when it comes to scratches on my gadgets, this holder puts my mind to ease because it will keep my mobile propely cushioned between non slippery spongy pads.
The holder also can turn around its base, actually the joint is in the trunk its self not in the holder. This is great if you want to change your phone's orientation from vertical to horizontal because you don't need to remove the phone from the holder.
The car charger that comes with this item is also of high quality. The cable is also very good material unlike those $10 cheap chargers where you feels the cable could snap out of its joint with the charger any moment. As described in the product photos, the end of the cable is a universal joint, at least its universal for Gomadic :) where they provide you with a special connector to plug into the universal end to provide you the other end that goes into your phone. I guess you can buy different plugs for different phone types. I want to look if Gomadic sell a plug for Blackberry's so i can use the same charger to charge both Desire and Blackberry phones.
Talking about Blackberry, as you expect, the mobile holder actually fits any type of phones. Even tiny small ones can be held inside the holder if you put the phone sideways in the holder :)
Price wise, I wouldsay it is just right. It should be like $5 cheaper (i bought it for $44 from amazon) but hey when I got it, it is worth every penny. The quality and durability of this product makes you proud to actually own such a good manufacturered thing! honestly i was expected to be ripped off when i receive it and be disappointed, but on the contrary, it is more than what you expect. two friends at work are going to buy it after they saw it because it was delivered to my work.

My car was parked for two days during the weekend where temperatures reach over 50 degrees celcius (122F) welcome to Dubai :), anyhow when i got in the car it was oven-hot, yet the trunk of the mobile holder showed no signs of getting soft or melt or anything. It was still as rigid as it is out of the box. That by its self is an excellent test that this product has passed with flying colors for me.
