I would first like to state that I did not buy this product. Luckily I did enough research to realize the vagueness in the product description is intentionally misleading you to buy the product before you think twice about it. This product replaces only the battery door, with a dongle that awkwardly plugs into the micro USB port on the side. As one commentator put it, it begs to be caught on clothing when putting it in a pocket. Plus, if you use a car dock, like I do, or plan on plugging it in anywhere else (where you don't have a power mat), like I do, then this just becomes a matter of inconvenience, not the other way around.
With the type of battery consumption this device has, I wouldn't mind having a backup battery for those long days we all have from time to time.
I hope the manufacturer reviews these. I realize you are trying to maximize profit ratio, keeping the product "affordable" and inexpensive to produce. But I, for one, would pay $150 for a powermat compatible replacement battery and the charging mat and I posit that others would too. THIS IS WHAT CONSUMERS WANT.
Duracell gave me hope but their induction charging is even further behind than powermat, which just awes me. I know that Ibwould never put a product to Markey I wouldn't use. Mr. Powermat and Duracell execs...you telling me you'd use this. Ridiculous.
Sadly, the best induction charger I have I bought was only $30 for two wii remotes. It's weird, the induction batteries just replace the AA and door. Did I mention it was $30, new, not marked down?
Get your act together.
